Winning project of the Futura. Puglia for Equality Notice, years 2023 and 2025
DON.A.R.E. is an important cultural and social initiative focused on promoting positive values linked to women, women’s emancipation and gender- wareness-raising against gender-based violence and, therefore, the dissemination of positive values. Through the performing arts, particularly dance, the project aims to offer a space for reflection, expression and involvement, highlighting the transformative power of art and its crucial role in social change, eliciting reactions and emotions in the community. Thanks to the FUTURA notice of 2023, we had the opportunity to use dance as a powerful means of expression and communication.
The project aims to reinforce the message of equality, self-determination and freedom for women, promoting awareness of the rights and opportunities available to all women, regardless of race, religion or social status. DON.A.R.E. will consist of a series of events featuring artistic performances, cultural interventions, workshops and discussions, with a particular focus on young audiences.
Through the evocative power of the performing arts, ‘Don.A.R.E. Donna Agire Reagire Emozionare’ aims to raise public awareness of the fundamental issues in the struggle for women’s emancipation, promoting a cultural change that sees women as subjects of full dignity and respect, contributing to the construction of a more just and egalitarian society in which women can express themselves freely and without fear.
