Danza che ti passa! I Ed.

Winning project of the Le Due Bari public tender funded by MIC and the Municipality of Bari, year 2024

The ‘Danza che ti passa’ festival, presented by the Breathing Art Company and directed by Simona De Tullio, is an international event for the summer in the city of Bari. This festival stands out for its commitment to promoting dance and involving young people, offering them a stage to express their talent and passion for dance alongside international artists who will visit the suburbs of our city.

One of the most interesting features is the involvement of professional artists from different parts of the world, including the United States, Morocco and Italy. This cultural diversity brings a wealth of styles and influences to the artistic production, with performances that are authentically multifaceted and stimulating. The productions presented are national and

international premieres, offering the public the opportunity to witness innovative and l performances. This helps to keep the contemporary dance scene alive, introducing new visions and approaches to the discipline.

The international programme features the Boston Dance Theatre (USA), which will present national premieres in Italy of contemporary dance with the entire company directed by Jessie Jeanne Stennet, Coljam from Morocco with Wajdi Gagui, who will draw the audience into the atmosphere of oriental dervish dance, and Marisela Tapia, an international artist who stands out in the world of flamenco and for her experimentation with contemporary atmospheres.

Each evening will see the Breathing Art Company on stage alongside international artists. The Apulian company will present the international premiere of the show ‘Traces’ with original music by Ivan Iusco, a show that will arrive in the USA, France and Romania next season.
